What is the sum of interior angles of a quadrilateral?
Ans: The sum of interior angles of any quadrilateral = 360°.
2 Marks
Prove that the diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.
Ans: In parallelogram ABCD, diagonals AC and BD intersect at O. In △AOB and △COD: AB = CD (opposite sides of parallelogram), ∠OAB = ∠OCD (alternate interior angles, AB∥CD), ∠OBA = ∠ODC (alternate interior angles). By ASA, △AOB ≅ △COD. Therefore OA = OC and OB = OD (CPCT). Diagonals bisect each other.

State and prove the Mid-Point Theorem.
Ans: Theorem: The line joining midpoints of two sides of a triangle is parallel to the third side and half its length. Proof: In △ABC, D and E are midpoints of AB and AC. Draw EF∥AB meeting BC at F. In △ADE and △CFE: AE=CE (E is midpoint), ∠AED=∠CEF (vertically opposite), ∠DAE=∠FCE (alternate, DE∥CF). So △ADE≅△CFE (AAS). Thus DE=EF and AD=CF=BD. So D, midpoint of AB, and DF∥AC. Hence DE∥BC and DE = ½BC.
